The present Robin is Tim Drake, a streetwise kid with many talents. He is Batman's sidekick and he can be very useful. He is the 3rd Robin. Dick Grayson left the Dark Knight to become Nightwing and Jason Todd was killed by the Joker.
Oracle
Barbara Gordon's crime fighting career ended when she was shot by the Joker ( killing joke ). She is now confined to a wheel-chair and calls herself Oracle. She is Batmans main source for information due to her computing skills.
Batgirl
Daugher of the assasin Kane, this mute young girl has incredible fighting skill. This new Batgirl was initiated into the Bat-team during 'No Mans Land'.
Azrael
Jean Paul Valley was born into an ancient and holy order. When he wears the sword and robes of Azrael : The Avenging Angle he gains intelligence and strength. He once stood in for Bruce Wayne as Batman.
Harold
Harold is a deformed hunchback who works in the Batcave as a mechanic. Harold is a mechanical genius who fixes all of the Dark Knights gadgits.
Commissioner Gordon
The head of police in Gotham City. When he needs help with a case he calls upon the Dark Knight by shining the Bat Signal into the sky which leads to Wayne Manor and Wayne Enterprises.
Catwoman
Now with a new costume, Selina Kyle is a friend of Bruce Wayne and Batman. Although that was not always the case.
Nightwing
Dick Grayson, formally Robin now fights crime by himself. A strong allie of Batman, he is one of the best crime fighters in the DC Universe. Nightwing has now left Gotham and now works in his own city, Blüdhaven.
Sergeant Bullock
Bullock is one of the best detectives in the Gotham Police Squad. He always likes to beat Batman to a case and is very jealous of him.
Talia
Ra's Al Ghul's daughter talia has had a number of love afairs with Batman and has even gave birth to Bruce Waynes son ! (Son of the Demon).
Huntress
Helena Bertinelli witnessed her entire family's murder and became the Huntress to avenge he parents death. She recently played a major part in Contagion and covered for Batman in legacy. Batman regards her as an allie even though she dislikes her nasty methods.

Was Kathy Kane's niece, Betty Kane. Bat-Girl is not Flamebird. Since the Titans Serect Origins Issue about 10 years ago.
Zatanna
Zatanna is one of the original JLA members. The daughter the the magician Zatarra, she performs spells by reciting the desired results backwards.
Pagan
When her sister was killed (I can't remember her real name off the top of my head) turned her martial arts abilities to "good use", fighting any man who would harm a woman. Batman is possibly the only man she'll willingly accept help from.
Joe Public
A high school teacher with abilities similiar to Superman's Parasite, he can drain away a subject's powers. Though a rank amateur, Joe provided much needed help in Az-Bats' fight with the Corrosive Man.
The Spoiler
Stephanie Brown, teenage daughter of the Cluemaster. She's also Robin's girlfriend AND she's also pregnant (not by Robin, the father ran out on her during Cataclysm). Batman and Robin have both attempted to sway her from fighting as the Spoiler in the past.
Nite-Wing
An overzealous vigilante operating out of Bludhaven. He recently had the bad luck of being confused with the real Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and got himself nearly killed for it. Fully recovered, he's back on the streets hunting down his assailants. Unfortunately, he also brutaly attacks anyone he views as breaking the law, even those who really are perfectly innocent.
Ballistic
Ballistic is actually a hero. He only fought Batman in his first appearance because Batman didn't know what side he was on and didn't trust him.
Ace the Bat-Hound
Batman and Robins trusty dog, Bat-Hound !!
